JJason Bodlovich, "J", is an instrumental guitarist and composer. Originally from Huntington Beach, J now lives and performs in California's North Bay Area where he leads his electric and acoustic groups. J also performs guitar in solo and duo settings. "Eclectic" is a good word to use when describing J's sound as he incorporates many styles into original compositions including rock, jazz, funk, blues, Brazilian and more.

Influences include the bluesrock stylings of Hendrix, Santana and Jimmy Page; The funk of The Meters, Parliament/Funkadelic & James Brown; the technical prowess of instrumental rock guitarist Jeff Beck & Joe Satriani; and the exploration of jazz guitarists Julian Lage, Bill Frissel & John Scofield. J's favorite artists of any style include: Miles Davis, Peter Tosh, Tom Waits, Dylan, Bowie, Beck, Stones, Los Lobos, Radiohead, The Clash, Pantera, Medeski Martin & Wood, The Band, Led Zep, Oscar Peterson Trio, The Meters, George Harrison, Maiden, B.B. King.

Upon graduation from SSU, J would record the album "Blues For Dexter - a Tribute to Dexter Gordon" featuring legendary bassist Ray Brown. J's guitar duo collaboration with Isaac Carter has performed Brazilian music for over ten years. Carter & Bodlovich have recorded two CDs and opened for Joe Satriani, Al Di Meola, Stanley Clarke and Jean Luc Ponty. J assembled a guitar trio to perform a series of concerts fearuring guitarists Julian Lage, Isaac Carter, Randy Vincent and Tom Finch.

In 2009 J was awarded the Norbay - the North Bay music award - in the jazz category for the second year. That same year J performed at the Sonoma Guitar Summit, Healdsburg Jazz Featival's "Rising Stars" showcase and Cotati Jazz Festival. In 2010 J will release and promote his new jazz quartet recording "The Culprit".
